Welcome to Katselas Theatre Company Katselas Theatre Company
(formerly Camelot Artists) is the non-profit theatre company of the
Beverly Hills Playhouse, one of Los Angeles' oldest and most celebrated
acting schools.
Many years after the BHP had already established a reputation for
the best in LA-based acting instruction, Katselas Theatre Company
was founded in 1983 as a non-profit theater company that would mirror
in its own work the BHP's core values — namely, the development of
actors, directors, playwrights and designers who risk boldly, who
take the time necessary to create with freedom and purpose, and who
thus invent works of true artistic excellence — theatre that entertains,
provokes and illuminates.
Working primarily with actors and directors of the Beverly Hills Playhouse,
as well as with Los Angeles-based professionals, Katselas Theatre Company prides
itself on productions inspired by the best work from the BHP's renowned classes.
In addition, Katselas Theatre Company has produced many LA Premiere and World
Premiere events, and has played host to musicians, poets, and dancers in its
continuing dedication to creating theatrical works that benefit the broader
Los Angeles community and contribute to its vibrant arts life.
